Am I using the excuse of having to feed my baby so I can sleep separately from my husband?

There's nothing wrong with sleeping apart for a time, with your baby close by. Sometimes it can be the most practical solution to sleep separately but this doesn't mean that you can't enjoy physical intimacy with your partner. Aim to spend time together being physically close at other times, for example cuddle up close on the sofa in front of the TV, take a relaxing bath or shower together. Sleep has to be a priority with small children so always aim to negotiate alternative times and places with your for physical intimacy. Day times, not the bedroom can be very inviting.
